I am profoundly honored to invite you to the 19th National Congress of the Romanian Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, held from September 26th to 28th 2024, in Cluj-Napoca.
In the past year, we have continued to witness evolutions in cardiac patient management, which have led to notable progress in cardiac surgery, particularly with the adoption of minimally invasive procedures. This evolution highlights the need for traditional heart surgeons to adapt and collaborate closely with interventional and clinical cardiologists.
Today, the field of interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery are more intertwined than ever. Effective heart patient treatment now demands a unified approach from clinical cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and cardiac surgeons. Our goal at this congress is to promote collaboration among these specialities and gather as many experts from the field, to join us as speakers or simple participants.
At this congress, we will explore whether we are at a crossroads between cardiology and cardiac surgery, how the new generation of specialists is adapting, and if a multidisciplinary approach is essential for better treatment. I truly believe that these discussions will mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the history of cardiovascular medicine.
